Punjab (The Stellar News) Saksham Kalia: The politics of Punjab is changing the mindset of people from cheaper essential amenities to free amenities like water, electricity, education and health care.
Parties are promising people of Punjab to vote them on the basis of how many products a party is giving free to them. The issues like good infrastructure, good public health, good amenities and employment is not taking importance from any party.
Every party is making promises by ignoring the real economical facts of Punjab. Punjab at present has financial income of Rs 1.62 lakh crores and has expenditure of worth Rs 1.68 lakh crore. This means that the Punjab is currently running on debt.
While if we notice the total debt on Punjab, it is Rs 2.82 lakh crores from which Rs 1 lakh Crore is increased in last five years after 2017.
AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal promised to give Rupees one thousand per month to every woman in Punjab. Punjab has one crore female voters, this means Punjab has to spend Rs 1200 Crores every year.
If we see other promises like giving free electricity, PSPCL condition is currently worse as it has loan of about Rs 17,277.
