Rajouri (The Stellar News), Report- Anil Bharadwaj: Jammu and Kashmir police in Rajouri district solved a murder case of a woman by arresting her husband and his helper for hatching conspiracy and murder of woman.
Senior Superintendent of Police Rajouri Chandan Kohli said that on 30th of August, an information was received in Kandi police station that a woman Shanaz Akhtar wife of Zulifkar Ali resident of Mohra village was attacked in her house with a sharp edged weapon inflicting serious injuries to her to which she succumbed.
A team of police from Kandi police station headed by Station House Officer Kandi Mustaj Ahmed rushed to the spot and started investigation and victim’s body was shifted to local hospital where medico-legal formalities and post mortem examination was conducted while a FIR under relevent section of law for murder was registered.
SSP Rajouri Chandan Kohli said that during initial investigation, the needle of suspicion moved towards the husband of victim woman as well as his helper after which both were detained and put for questioning in the police station who include victim’s husband Zulifkar Ali resident of Morha Kotranka
and his helper Mohammad Aslam resident of Thanamandi.
“During investigation, it came to fore that Zulifkar Ali told helper of his vehicle Mohammad Aslam that he is having four daughters, two among who are twins of three months of age, and he wants to marry for the second time for which he needs to eliminate his wife Shahnaz Akhter (victim).” said SSP
“Zulifkar (victim’s husband) assured his helper Mohammad Aslam to pay him handsome amount in helping elimination of his wife after which both hatched a conspiracy. It also came to fore during investigation that woman was stabbed inside her house with a sharp edged knife by accused Mohammad Aslam in presence and as asked by her husband Zulifkar Ali.
Both the accused stand arrested in the case with further investigation into the matter going on by SHO Kandi Mustaj Ahmed under the supervision of DySP DAR Zaheer Abbas.
