Bareilly Bank Guard Shot Customer For Not Wearing a Mask

Uttar Pradesh, A security guard shot a man at the branch of Bank of Baroda on Friday as he was not wearing the mask. The man was trying to force the security guard his way inside without mask, police said. Superintendent of Police Ravinder Kumar said that the customer Rajesh Kumar was seriously injured and was admitted to the hospital while guard has been taken into the custody by police.The customer Rajesh Kumar came to the bank for some work around 11:30, he was not wearing the mask the guard in anger shot the man.

The bank in a statement said, ‘we deeply regret the unfortunate firing incident that took place as result of reported altercation between the guard and the victim’. The bank will extend the financial or any kind of help to the family. The guard was immediately relieved of his duties and has also been arrested by the police.Senior Manager Geeta Bhusal of Bank of Baroda said, the forensic team of the police is checking the CCTV footage. The exact status of the incident will be known only after watching the footage.
