Students of Jagmohan’s Institute of Traditional Karate gave brilliant performance in Punjab State karate championship

Hoshiarpur (The Stellar News): The karatekas ( Karate Players) of Jagmohan’s Institute of Traditional Karate performed brilliantly in Punjab State Karate Championship organized by Punjab Karate Association and won 6 Gold, 5 Silver and 3 Bronze medals. Trained by Internationally renowned Karate Instructor and the only Certified Coach of the District Hoshiarpur by National Karate Federation, Sensei Jagmohan Vij, Fifth Degree Black Belt (USA), these Karate players registered spectacular victories in individual kata events for boys and girls while Claiming maximum medals. According to Advocate Dr Deepak Sharma, President , District Karate Association, Shubham Sandal of Government College Hoshiarpur, Aditya Bakshi of DAV Senior Secondary School, Arpit Sharma of Jain Day Boarding School and Aarti Kumari of Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Railway Mandi won gold medals in different categories of Individual Kata ( Form) competition.

Apart from this, Divyanshi Joshi of Government College Hoshiarpur, who was included in the team, got gold medal in the under 21 girls’ individual Kumite competition in the weight category below 60 kg and Aditya Bakshi of DAV School in the under 21 boys weight category below 75 kg. Representing District Hoshiarpur, Deepika Joshi won two Silver medals and one Bronze medal while Karateka Aditya performed brilliantly and won two Gold and one Silver medal. Other karatekas who won silver medals for the team also include Shubham Sandal and Arpit Sharma.

While Om Silli of SD College Hoshiarpur along with Ashish Thakur, Arpit Sharma and Deepika won bronze medals. According to SenseiJagmohan Vij, Chief Karate Coach of District Hoshiarpur Team, all the Karatekas who won gold medals in this State Karate Competition Will represent Punjab Karate team in the upcoming National Karate Championship organised by Karate India Organization , which is the national federation of karate in india which is Duely affiliated with Asian Karate Federation and World Karate Federation. The performance of Paras Kumar of DAV College Hoshiarpur and Rajat Kumar of SD College Hoshiarpur in the team was also commendable and they won all their matches till the quarter finals.
