A very sensational incident occurred in Ludhiana, where an angry man threw acid on teenage girl. The accused is identified as Manoj Kumar resident of Badhewal road, Ludhiana.
As per the information, Manoj Kumar threw acid on his sister-in-law’s minor sister, as she (victim girl) refused the marriage proposal.
The mother of the minor girl told that “she lives with her family at Badhewal road and her married daughter’s brother-in-law (accused) harassed her 15-year-old daughter for marriage, but she had refused to do so”.
Accused entered the house of victim girl and threw acid on her when she was sleeping. The girl’s face, chest, side, legs and other limbs were burnt severely due to acid and she was admitted to a private hospital. Victim’s mother was also injured in this incident. The accused escaped from the spot.
After receiving the information of the incident, Police has filed a complaint against the accused and arrested him.
