In recent order from Capt. Amrinder Singh CM Punjab, all non-essential services and businesses will remain closed till March 31. These strict orders are taken in wake of rapid increase in COVID-19 confirmed cases. The Punjab lock-down is seen as necessary step to prevent the community spread of corona-virus.

Only listed essential services will open. All Deputy Commissioners and SSPs have been directed to issue relevant orders and implement the restrictions with immediate effect.
Only essential services such as the police, health, power, emergency transport, supply of milk, food items, medicines, etc, will continue.
