Day to day increase in prices creates a big problem for middle class and poor. Firstly, the prices of petrol and diesel were increasing every day in small amounts.

Then the Price of kitchen gas was also increased many times within a month. Now, people with low income are avoiding use of fuel vehicles but were feeling helpless in case of kitchen gas. Now, the platform ticket price also increased five times from Rs10 to Rs50 directly. As we all know that people had faced many problems in time of pandemic. Many people losses their jobs and some had seen cut off in their salaries. Financial situations of people are not so good. They however managed to eat during pandemic. Many migrants moved back to their homes due to lack of work.

People don’t have money in their pocket and in this difficult time they have to face this hike in prices of necessary things for living. Not just gas or LPG, prices of vegetables, oils, pulses and many more has increased after pandemic. These all are essential things, every person need these things for living. BJP while campaigning for 2014 elections raised their voice against UPA Government for increase in prices of petrol and diesel. Many protests were performed by BJP against UPA Government. Many videos of PM Narendra Modi while campaigning in elections surfacing on social media.

He was clearly seen as claiming the burden due to hike in prices on middle class and poor. He gives many suggestions to the UPA Government for reducing prices of petrol and diesel. But now same country with same people and same needs but BJP government views changed after coming in power.

No doubt that country had faced big problem financially and economically in pandemic which leads the hike in prices. But the people of country don’t want excuses, they needs results. If the price of fuel in international market is increasing then it’s the responsibility of government to do some arrangement to provide relief to common man. People elect government to solve the problems of people not to make excuses.

During pandemic when the prices of fuel was record low in international market but the prices in India was not reducing. Government earned too much revenue at that time but when the prices were high in international market, government is not reducing the prices by reducing taxes. These issues will definitely effect government in next elections.
