Delhi (The Stellar News) Saksham Kalia: Union health ministry in his recent notification has announced 27% reservation for OBC (Other Backward class) and 10% for economically weaker section (EWS)in all india quota (AIQ) scheme for undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) medical/ dental courses (MBBS/ MD/MS/ Diploma/BDS/ MDS) from 2021-2022 onwards.

As per reports, the decision would affect about 1,500 OBS students in MBBS and 2,500 such students of post graduation and around 550 EWS students in MBBS and around 1,000 such students in post graduation.
This decision came after the PM Narendra Modi gave strict orders to authorities to solve the matter of giving reservation to OBS students immediately which was pending from prolong time.
