HOSHIARPUR (The Stellar News): The District and Sessions Judge Ms. Amarjot Bhatti today inspected Central Jail where she also inaugurated a class room for the education of inmates.
While meeting the inmates in the jail premises, the District and Sessions Judge Amarjot Bhatti also listened to the problems of the inmates besides enquiring about the health condition of inmates admitted in the jail hospital. Ms. Amarjot Bhatti also reviewed the medical care being provided to them.
Meanwhile, she also inaugurated a class room and appreciated the efforts made by the jail administration for the education of inmates. Jail Superintendent Iqbal Singh Dhaliwal informed that the infrastructure of this classroom had been created with the help of Rayat and Bahra Group, Hoshiarpur. He also thanked Chairman of Rayat Bahra Group Gurwinder Singh Bahra for this contribution.
The District and Sessions Judge also inquired about the condition of women inmates inside women ward and inspected the food being prepared for them. Deputy Superintendent (maintenance) Harbhajan Singh, Deputy Superintendent (security) Tejpal Singh and other jail staff was also present on the occasion.
