Phagwara (The Stellar News): GNA University under the banner of GU – IIC celebrated National Technology Day. The day is a significant milestone in the history of India’s technological innovations as India successfully tested nuclear bombs in Pokhran on May 11, 1998 and is commemorated every year by honouring the architects of such innovations.
In the event, an expert talk by Mr. Shibananda Dash, CEO at NIT Jalandhar, TBI was delivered. The Guest Expert motivated students about the various opportunities available in start-ups, followed by distribution of awards to the students and faculty members who have scored positions in various technological events like Hatch pitch, Robo Race, and Code Drill; events organized by the Centre For Innovation (GU-CI) and deliver. The prizes were distributed by the Vice-Chancellor, Dr. V.K. Rattan, the guest speaker Mr. Shibananda Dash and the deans of the various faculties.
S. Gurdeep Singh Sihra, the Pro-Chancellor, GNA University thanked the Team of GU – IIC for taking the initiative of recognizing the staff and the students for their work done.
Dr. VK Rattan, the Vice-Chancellor expressed, “I am delighted that the University organises such events of high repute.”
