Grenade attack in Srinagar, 4 injured cops stable

SRINAGAR: A grenade attack was reported in Saraf Kadal belt of Srinagar Sunday night. Information collected from various social websites suggest that four persons – three from JK police and one from CRPF was injured. The grenade was lobbed at the local CRPF camp. The injured were identified as Sgct Nazir Ahmad of SBK, Constable Tariq Ahmad and SG Constable Farooq Ahmad of Police Post Urdu Bazar and SI Vikas Panday of CRPF. They were rushed to the hospital and are reported stable. Reports said there was stone pelting going on in the area and later a grenade was tossed towards the camp.
