Delhi (The Stellar News) Saksham Kalia: After being on the run of 18 days following the death of 23-yrs old young wrestler Sagar Dhankar, Sushil Kumar was arrested from the outer side area of Delhi by Delhi Police. Now, Police is probing the possibility of links between the Kumar and Neeraj Bawania Gang.
Delhi Police Crime Branch has interrogated the two time Olympic medallist and Wrestling World Champion Sushil Kumar. During this Kumar looked nervous and was changing his statements. (Acc to ANI)
Police also tried to verify the video footage where Sushil Kumar could be seen beating wrestler Sagar Dhankar twice. Team of Delhi Police accused Sushil Kumar in alleged murder of Sagar Dhankar. Forensic teams are also about to examine the vehicles seized by police that was used by Kumar. This team will also go to Chhatrasal Stadium for collecting other evidences.
Acc. to reports Police took Sushil Kumar and his associate Ajay Bajjarwala to three locations which are connected with this course of event. These locations are Model Town, Shalimar Bagh and Chhatrasal stadium.
During the interrogation Sushil confessed his presence at Chhatrasal stadium and said that he went there as a mediator to solve the fight between two groups. Besides this, he didn’t confess to bring Sagar and Sonu from model town flat.
According to reports, during investigation Sushil Kumar also cried many a times and has also stopped eating anything. But Police is taking care of his diet as he is a wrestler and his body demands appropriate food.
On Monday, Delhi police said that Delhi police crime branch will investigate the case related to the 23yrs old wrestler Sagar Dhankar.
