TWO PILOTS DIED AS ARMY HELICOPTER CRASHED IN UDHAMPUR

Jammu and Kashmir (The Stellar News) Saksham Kalia: Indian army in a statement informed that two Indian army pilots died amid the helicopter crash in J&K’s Udampur. After the plane crash, both the pilots were evacuated and rushed to nearer hospital, where they lost their lives.

Army also stated that, one of the deceased was a captain, while the other one was a major.  “Today, during a training sortie in the Patnitop area, the Indian Army Cheetah Helicopter crash-landed in the Shiv Garh Dhar area in Udhampur district,” the army added. The officer also added that, “the chopper either crashed or crash-landed on a hill. Search parties have been rushed to the area, but it takes one and a half hour to reach there by foot. Dense fog in the area is making it difficult for the searchers to pin point the location.”
