Ladakh (The Stellar News): In Ladakh, Cooperative Department Kargil organized a day long Seminar cum workshop today on under Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsav to aware the Cooperative Societies and general public for utilization of minimum Chemical Fertilizer and to look forward towards Organic Farming to make Ladakh an Organic State.
The objective of the seminar was also to frame a road map of Winter Stocking well in time at all block/Subdivisional headquarters. The workshop was attended by more than 70 society members and supervisory staff of the department. The Deputy Registrar Cooperative Societies Kargil Dr Zakir Hussain informed that the department deducted to purchase 20% of Chemical Fertilizer this year and issuing Organic Fertilizer to the general public on 80% Subsidized rate. The Deputy Registrar also informed that in future the department planning to issue 100% Organic Fertilizer as per the directions of higher authorities.
He further added that the department is strengthening the Cooperative Societies to come forward and further strengthen the Cooperative system in the society. He assured all the Members of the different Cooperative Societies of the district that the department will help the societies in all means and particularly in making the Dream of Making Ladakh an organic UT.
