Chandigarh (The Stellar News): The written entrance examination for admission to the Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC), Dehradun for Jul 2022 term will be conducted at Lala Lajpat Rai Bhawan, Sector 15, Chandigarh on Saturday 18 December 2021 , informed a spokesman from the Directorate of Defence Services Welfare, Punjab
Pertinently, both boys and girls are eligible to apply for the admission to the RIMC. Candidates appearing for the said test should not be less than 11 years in age but should not have attained the age of 13 years as on 01 Jul 2022 i.e. they should have been born not earlier than 02 Jul 2009 and not later than 01 Jan 2011. They should either be studying in Class VII or passed Class VII from any recognized school at the time of admission to the RIMC on 1 Jul 2022. Selected candidates will be given admission in Class-VIII.
The Written part of the examination will consist of three papers namely, English, Mathematics & General Knowledge. Minimum pass marks in each paper including interview will be 50%. The viva-voce test will be held for only those candidates who qualify in the written exam & the date for the viva-voce test has been fixed as on date will be intimated later.
The prospectus-cum-application form and booklet of old question papers can also be obtained by making online payment of Rs. 600/- or General Candidates & Rs. 555/- for SC/ST candidates on RIMC website www.rimc.gov.in. On receipt of the payment, the prospectus-cum-application form and booklet of old question papers will be dispatched by Speed post only.
Applications in duplicate in prescribed form and three passport size photographs, Birth Certificate, State Domicile Certificate, SC/ST Certificate, Certificate from Principal of the School, in original with photograph affixed on it duly attested, stating date of birth and class in which the student is studying and photocopy of Aadhar Card, must reach Directorate Defence Services Welfare, Punjab, Sainik Bhawan, Sector 21-D, Chandigarh on or before 15 Nov 2021. Applications received after 15 Nov 2021 will not be entertained.
