Punjab (The Stellar News) Saksham Kalia: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Friday called for a special session of parliament and called for the immediate transfer of Chandigarh to Punjab. Mann moved a resolution in the parliament for the immediate transfer of Chandigarh into the state.
The resolution has been moved against the centre’s decision to put Chandigarh under central service rules. Recently, the centre has ordered to implement central service rules in Chandigarh.
“For maintaining harmony and taking the sentiments of people into account, this house once again recommends to the state government to raise the matter with central government to immediately transfer Chandigarh to Punjab,” according to the resolution move by the CM Mann in the House.
