Punjab (The Stellar News) Saksham Kalia: In a recent action by the Punjab Police, 2 youths have been detained in connection with the grenade attack at the Intelligence wing of Punjab Police in Mohali.
A rocket propelled grenade hit the intelligence wing headquarters of Punjab police in Mohali shattering windowpanes on one of the floors of the building. While no one was injured in the explosion but Police is yet to find the assailants in the scanning of the CCTV footage.
The officials of NIA, IB and other security agencies visited the spot informally. This is the first time an RPG was used in attack on a state police officials, said counter-terrorism expert officials.
A official known to the matter said, it seems the accused were hired for the job by people operating from abroad,” said an official.
