Potential terror module busted by Bihar Police, Ex Cop arrested among 2

Delhi (The Stellar News): A retired Jharkhand police officer is among two suspects arrested by the Bihar police for being a part of a suspected terror module with links to extremist outfit Popular Fronts of India (PFI). The suspects were arrested on late Wednesday, July 13, 2022, in the Phulwari Sharif area of Patna and were looking to indulge in anti-India activities.
The ex cop has been identified as Mohammad Jallauddin and the other suspect’s name is to be said Athar Parvez. According to Bihar Police, where both have links with PFI, Jallauddin was also associated with the Students’ Islamic Movement of India (SIMI). Parvez’s younger brother was imprisoned in 2001-02 for involvement in several bomb blast cases in Bihar. Several incriminating documents were linked to Islamic extremism were recovered from them, the officer further said that Parvez was allegedly raising foreign funds to carry out anti-India activities and was also in continuous touch with the members of several overseas organizations. Meanwhile, the Enforcement Directorate has been roped in to track the money taril. Phulwari Sharif Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Manish Kumar said that the duo was giving the training on how to use knives and sword to the locals, provoking them to indulge in communal violence.
