A college student stabbed to death on the campus in KK Nagar, Chennai on Friday.

The victim is identified as M. Ashwini (19), a first-year commerce student at Meenakshi college of Engineering.
The accused is identified as Alagesan (26). He tried to escape after stabbing but the people around there caught him. He was arrested by police. The girl was rushed to the nearby hospital, where doctors declared her dead.
Alagesan’s sisiter Paripooranam stated that, both the victim and accused were lovers. The victim girl was raedy to marry Alagesan. But she stepped back, as her parents were against this marriage.
The case has been registered under relevant Sections of IPC.
