A very shocking incident found in Sector 79, Mohali, where a pump operator at filling station died in accidental fire from a gun of security guard. The deceased is identified as Pankaj Verma (22).

This incident took place around 11:50 pm on Tuesday night. According to Inspector Manjit Singh, Sohana SHO, the security guard at the station, Kuldeep Singh, came to sit on a floor bedding, next to the victim’s bedding. “As Kuldeep Singh tried to rest his gun against the wall, it fell down and fired. The bullet hit Pankaj on the right side of his head and chest. He was shifted to a nearby hospital at Sohana where he died,” said the Inspector.
The case has been registered against Kuldeep Singh under Section 304 of IPC and 30, 54 and 59 of Arms Act.
