601 YOUTH GET PLACEMENTS DURING JOB FAIR AT DBEE OFFICE

Jalandhar (The Stellar News): As many as 601 unemployed youth today got job placements during a Job Fair organized at the District Bureau of Employment and Enterprise Office.

Divulging the details, Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori said that 752 unemployed youth took part. As many as 103 companies including Zomato, 9 to 5 Technologies, Saavi International, ICICI (NIIT), Ajay Industries, Gripwell Tools, TDK Valves, Apex Electricals, BR Industries and others had participated in the job fair physically and virtually mode during which 601 unemployed youth got placements.

The Deputy Commissioner said that these Job Melas were acting as a catalyst to transform the destiny of the youth. He said that the youth who have got jobs during the fair would become an active partner in the socio-economic growth of the state. He said that this was another milestone to channelize the unbounded energy of the youth of the state in a positive direction.

The Deputy Commissioner said that the job fairs were, in fact, a first of its kind initiative of the state government to provide a livelihood to the unemployed youth of the state.

He added all Covid protocols including social distancing and masking were strictly followed during the job fair. Deputy Commissioner further said that the selection of the youth for jobs would be made purely on merit through a fair and transparent system.

Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner also honoured industrialist Mukul Verma for his active contribution in offering jobs to the youths during fairs.  He also handed over offer letters to the selected candidates in his office.

Deputy Commissioner also informed on Wednesday (September 9), another job fair would be organized in DBEE office in which renowned companies would participate and would offer jobs to the unemployed youths.
