ARE WE DOING JUSTICE WITH CHILDREN AND YOUNGSTERS?

Delhi (The Stellar News) Saksham Kalia: It’s about a 1 and a half year when children had gone to school. This is one of the biggest issue that each and every student is facing. As pandemic has touched the borders of India last year all the schools and colleges were closed. In schools a student interact with others. Schools are the place where students become both physically and mentally strong. But due to Covid students have to stay at homes.

Due to pandemic a new normal was introduced in schools and colleges that was online classes. This was important for students as this was the only option for providing education to students.

But now this is becoming something unusual. Due to regular online classes students are losing their interest in studies. Students are facing boredom. The other problem due to these online classes is that students are growing somehow mentally but the physical growth has stopped. Yes, everyone can agree that it’s compulsory to conduct online classes but institutions have to create a good schedule for schools.

This will prevent students from boredom and reduce mental stress of students. As we saw that the online classes of students are starting from morning and ends in evening. This is brutal. According to official data the recommended time for Pre-primary students for online classes is 30 minutes and for students of class 9th to 12th it is maximum 3 hours with each class 45 minutes. But reality is different.

Due to online classes students are getting health problems like eyesight problems, frequent headache, anxiety, depression etc. As students are not getting appropriate facilities from last year so that they can play.  Lack of outdoor activities are stopping physical growth of students.

In India all the gyms, stadiums, indoor stadiums, physical growth centers are closed due to corona virus but the bars and liquor shops are running with government permissions. Is this shocking?  A person who is going to gym is more aware towards health or person going to liquor shops. A common person can identify what is right but in India governments can’t.

Various sportsperson are opposing governments on this as they don’t have permissions to go stadiums for training sessions. These sportsperson are those who won medals for the country. Do these drunker are more important than persons who won medals for the country.

Government should also think about this otherwise the future of India will be mentally weak and stressed.
