Indian Archery Player Deepika Won Gold Medal at World Cup

New Delhi (The Stellar News)_Indian Archery player Deepika Kumari on Monday won her hat-trick gold medal at World Cup Olympics Stage 3. At the age of 27 she made the country proud. Deepika Kumari is from Ranchi who had achieved the spot for the first time in 2012.  World archery on Tuesday tweeted “This is going to take Deepika to the number one spot in the world ranking on Monday”

She first combined her with Ankita Bhakat and Komalika Bari to play with Mexican women’s team. She than paired with her husband  Atanu Das and the couple from a 0-2 deficit to down the Netherland’s Sjef Van Den Berg and Gadriela Schloesser 5-3 for the gold medal. Deepika is the second women after Dola Banerjee from India to grab the status in June 2012 after claiming her first individual recurve world cup gold medal at Antalya Turkey. She will be the only Indian Archer player to represent India at Tokyo Olympics next month.

Sachin Tendulkar appreciated the efforts of the player Deepika and tweeted “Magnificiant performance Deepika ! You deserve all the success and recognition. Your performance at #ArcheryWorldCup in Paris is just the glimpse of what the world shall see at the @Olympics proud of your achievement and all the best for the #TokyoOlympics”.
