Kargil (The Stellar News): The 40th Day after the Ashura E Hussaini which is known as Chelum E Hussaini was observed by the People in Kargil during which Mourning Processions from nearby villages of Kargil Town reached beating their Chest, Backs with Chains, Chanting Slogans and weeping. The Processions passing through Main Bazzar Kargil via, Isna Ashriya Chowk, Lal Chowk, Khomenie Chowk concluded at Inqalab Manzil (Qatil Gha) under the Banner of Anjuman Jamiyat Ullama Isna Ashriya Kargil (AJUIAK) Ladakh. The Processions Concluded with the Ziyarat-e-Arbayeen by the President AJUIAK Ladakh Hujjatul Islam Wa Muslameen Sheikh Nazir Mehdi Mohammadi who later prayed for the Peace, Prosperity and Communal harmony in the Country. On this occasion Sheikh Nazir Mehdi threw light on the philosophy of Karbala and termed Karbala as a mission for humanism to establish peace and prosperity in the world.
Karbala gives a message to entire humanity that whenever truth or rightness is being suppressed, evil or falsehood is promoted, he added.
The President stressed upon the gathering that it is our duty to spread the message of Imam(A.S) that has gifted upon us by our prophet. Special prayer for peace and prosperity and communal harmony in the society particularly in the country was also made. Every year Shia Muslims Mourn the Sacrifice of the Grand Son of Prophet Mohammad SAW Hazrat Imam Hussain AS in the deserts of Karbala in 61 AD, for 40 days from 1st of Muharaam to 20th Safar according to Islamic Calendar and concludes with the Chelum-e-Hussaini on the 40th Day after Ashura.
General Secretary AJUIAK Ladakh Shierkh Ibrahim Khalili thanked District Administrations for all arrangements made for the successful and smooth conclusion of the Chelum Processions which include arrangement of Health Camps, Water Supply, uninterrupted Electric Supply and proper Sanitization and Cleaning of the Route of Procession by MC Kargil and adequate arrangements of security. He thanked the volunteers, for conducting and concluding the processions smoothly along with President Taxi Union, Omni Van Union and Organizers of Sabeels.
