Punjab (The Stellar News) Saksham Kalia: Punjab Government taking the farmers into concern allowed farmers to dug sand from their land up to 3 feet. Before the decision, Farmers were not allowed to pull out sand from their land and sell it but with this decision farmers will get a new earning source.
In the last cabinet meeting, Punjab Government in a bid to control the Sand Mafia widely spread in the whole Punjab fixed the Sand price To Rs 5.50 per feet. This will control the monopoly of illegal sand mining in whole Punjab and will give relief to the people of Punjab who are currently paying more than Rs4000 per sand trolly.
Amid the prolong demand from Brickyard owners to release them from Mining policy, Punjab Government also released brickyards from the Mining Policy. Previously, it was very difficult to arrange sand for making bricks as they have to get permit but from now they will get sand easily.
