Punjab (The Stellar News): BJP was going to start their election campaign from the Ferozepur district by welcoming PM Modi. PM Modi’s rally was scheduled on Wednesday and the whole BJP leadership was present in rally to welcome their biggest leader but due to bad weather and blockade by protesting farmers, PM Modi didn’t make to rally, led top cancelling of rally.
Huge crowd of party workers and supporters were disrupted and beaten by the protesters. There are pictures going viral showing the injured BJP workers sitting on roadsides. In a bid to oppose PM Modi, they blocked the convoy route and stopped PM Modi to reach the rally venue.
PM Modi visit was taking multiple projects with him worth Rs4200 crore but due to the disruption all these projects has been now postponed.
