The Coffee Table Book and short film on BSF Artillery released at JCP Attari

Amritsar (The Stellar News): On 1st October 1971, BSF Artillery with 20 Post Group Artillery (PGSA) was raised to provide close support to BSF units primarily defensive role by engaging enemy in assembly areas, start lines and also provide defensive fire for limited offensive tasks. BSF Artillery completed its sterling 50th year of the raising in the service of the Nation on 1st October 2021 and celebrated its ‘ Golden Jubilee Year ‘ w.e.f 1st October 2020 to 1st October 2021. To commemorate this historic milestone, BSF Arty conducted many meaningful events in the past one year with the aim of spreading awareness about the valor and selfless services rendered by the BSF Arty. In the series of events, for the first time in the history of its raising, a Coffee Table Book and short film on BSF Artillery was produced under the overall supervision of Brig Rajeev Lowe (Retd), the DIG / Cdr Arty, duly vetted and approved by the DG BSF. The Coffee Table Book and short film on BSF Artillery brings out the history and success saga of BSF Arty as an integral element of the Border Security Force and is the first attempt to showcase the BSF Artillery journey from humble beginnings in 1971 to the present, with an eye on foreseeable future.

The Coffee Table Book and short film on BSF Artillery was released on 27 Mar 2022 at JCP Attari by Shri Pankaj Kumar Singh, IPS, Director General, BSF in presence of Shri PV Rama Sastry, IPS SDG Western Comd and Shri Asif Jalal, IPS, IG Pb Ftr.
