In remembrance of Kargil War, Motorcycle expedition starts from Delhi to Dras (Ladakh)

Delhi (The Stellar News): On 18th July, 2022 the 30-meter rally was flagged off by Lt. Gen. BS Raju, the Vice Chief of the Army Staff from the National War Memorial, New Delhi . In the memory of Kargil war 1999, celebrating the 23 years of victory over Pakistan and the spirit of ‘Azadi Ka Mahotsav’, the Indian Army has organised a Motor bike expedition from Delhi to the Kargil War Memorial at Dras (Ladakh).
Over the next six days, the team of 30 personnel who have embarked on this rally will endeavour to replicate the indomitable spirit of the Kargil brave-hearts by rekindling the spirit of fortitude, courage and adventure with the Indian Army. The bike rally would pass through Haryana, Punjan, Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh before reaching the destination, Kargil War Memorial on July 26, 2022. In order to cover the maximum areas, the rally is being split into the teams of two, who will move along two different axis, which are, the Zojila Pass axis and Rohtang pass axis, covering the distance of 1400km and 1700km. The teams will cover the high mountain ranges and difficult tracks in order to cover the remote areas of the region as well.
