PM MODI AND EGYPTIAN PRESIDENT CALLED FOR ZERO TOLERENCE AGAINST TERRORISM: FS VINAY KWATRA

New Delhi (The Stellar News): Foreign Secretary in a Press Briefing over the arrival of Egyptian President Abdal Fattah El-Kisi as a chief guest on the Republic Day celebrations in national Capital cleared the stand of both the countries over terrorism.

FS said, “Pres Sisi appreciated PM Modi’s invitation to Egypt as a guest country for G20. Both leaders agreed to work together during India’s G20 presidency & shared their common interests & priorities which Global South should focus on & through India’s presidency could channel into G20”.

FS added, “Key highlights of today’s interactions b/w them is elevation of bilateral relationship to strategic p’ship, comprising 4 key pillars-1) political & security cooperation,2) segment of economic engagement,3) scientific & academic collaboration, 4) wider cultural & people-to-people contacts”.

Foreign Secretary briefed that,  “PM Modi & President Sisi held extensive and productive discussions today. They appreciated each other’s role not just in giving driving momentum to the relationship but also ensuring that decisions that the two countries take are implemented in a time-bound & quick fashion and how we can also together join hands in larger international platforms to ensure that the international community comes together to act against the challenge of terrorism in all its form & manifestations: Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra

FS said, “Given the commonality of challenges of terrorism that both India & Egypt face, the 2 leaders also emphasised the need for concerted & coordinated action bilaterally between the 2 countries to see how our cooperation become more broad-based, deeper in the field of terrorism…”.

He added, “Both leaders (President Sisi & PM Modi) strongly condemned use of terrorism by countries as a foreign policy instrument & called for zero tolerance to terrorism & for all who encourage, support & finance terrorism, provide sanctuaries to terrorists & terror groups”.
