Fire broke out at open area in the first floor of Haryana civil secretariat building in Sector 1, on Thursday morning. This open area of first floor contains the wooden and other waste material.

As per reports, Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) canteen adjoining the furniture dumped area also suffered up to some extent. But the office records and other valuable items are safe. Fire may be caused due to furniture placed near the canteen, it was noticed in the morning around 9 am. Immediately, the fire department arrived at the spot along with three tenders, as they got the information of fire explosion. It took half an hour to control the flames of fire.
