Vigilance Captures PSPCL Lineman Red Handed

State Vigilance Bureau, during its ongoing campaign against corruption today nabbed an Assistant Lineman of PSPCL posted at Attari Feeder, Ferozepur district red handed accepting bribe.

Today, Spokesman of Vigilance Bureau Punjab said that Assistant Lineman Prem Singh was arrested by a vigilance team while he was demanding and accepting bribe of Rs.5,000 from complainant Gulzar Singh resident of village Katora, Ferozepur.  Gulzar Singh went there in order to restore his domestic power supply which was disconnected due to non-payment of bill.

Giving details he said after verifying of his complaint, the VB team laid a trap and the accused officer was arrested on the spot and Rs.5,000 was recovered from him in the presence of two official witnesses. He informed that a case under Prevention of Corruption Act has been registered against him at VB police station Ferozepur and further investigation was under progress.
