11 packets of heroin are seized by BSF’s 88 Battalion in Amritsar from Ramkot border.

The seized heroin worth Rs, 55 Crore in the international market. Two Pakistani smugglers were escaped. According to JS Oberoi, DIG, BSF, Amritsar, BSF troops noticed something fishy under 200 meters away from Indo-Pak border near Ramkot post.
Around 2.25 am, troops found two Pakistani smugglers trying to push the contraband through a plastic pipe on this side of border fence. The BSF personnel opened fire, but smugglers managed to escape by taking the advantage of darkness. Then 11 packets of heroin, weighing 11 Kg each were seized from the spot.
