Students from different colleges gathered at Pratap Park, Lal Chowk and protested against Kashmir University authorities for 50% cut in syllabus and alleged that university failed to complete the examination process and syllabus on time. Students raised slogans against Kashmir University.

“From day one, the university has failed to follow the academic calendar leading to the wastage of our important time. They are playing with our future,” said Fouzia Jan, a student from the Government College of Women, MA Road.
“How is it possible to complete the syllabus of one year in two months?” asked a protesting student, Anjum Ahmad.
