New Delhi (The Stellar News),Saksham Kalia: Indian transport minister said that, the usage of electric vehicles should be made mandatory for government officials of government ministries and departments during the launch of Go electric campaign.
He also suggests that, government should subsidies on electric cooking appliances instead of giving support to buy cooking gas. This will decrease pressure of importing gas. He said that, this will also keep cooking clean. He said that, 10000 electric vehicles can alone save 30crores per month in Delhi.
Then, he urged power minister R K Singh to make it mandatory for all government officials to use electric vehicles. RK Singh also announced that a fuelcell bus service will be launched from Delhi to Agra and Delhi to Jaipur.
