DIC and NYKS in collaboration with Sangarsh-A Civic Movement organises a mega convention at Rajouri

J&K/Rajouri (The Stellar News), Report: Anil Bhardwaj: District information Centre and Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan in collaboration with National Progressive Youth Organisation organised a mega convention at Dak Bungalow Rajouri to felicitate the winners of different online events held in the District throughout the year.

Rajesh Kumar Shavan Deputy Commissioner, Rajouri with other officials including Pawan Parihar Additional District Development Commissioner, Ch. Gulzar Hussain Chief Education Officer, Narinder Raina District Information Officer, Nitin Hangloo District Youth Officer Nehru Kendra Rajouri, President and office bearers of Sangarsh – A Civic Movement and NPYO among large number of youth and general public were present in the program.

The Deputy Commissioner Rajouri said that involvement of youth in all the schemes and programmes of the Government are cardinal to success of the schemes and more participation should be ensured at every step. He said that events like these provide a platform to the youth to prove their mettle.

He also stressed that a number of initiatives have been taken by the District Administration Rajouri such as development of Rajouri as a tourism destination. He further elaborated that trekking expedition shall be organised in the seven lakes of Pir Panjal region starting from Darhal. He appealed to the youth to participate actively and support this initiative.

District Information Officer Rajouri enlightened that different Online events such as Poetry Recitation Competition, Essay Writing Competition, Quiz Competition, Painting/Poster making Competition were organised by District Information Centre, Nehru Yuva Kendra, Sangarsh on different themes such as Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, International Day of Yoga, Corruption etc in which various children, students and youth from District Rajouri emerged winners.

Vikrant Sharma, Freelancer Activist successfully conducted the proceedings of the program. Later, Nitin Hangloo, District Youth Officer presented the vote of thanks.
