Punjab (The Stellar News) Saksham Kalia: Amid the tussle in the congress party, especially between Navjot Singh Sidhu and Amarinder Singh, congress high command has convened a meeting of Congress Legislature party for taking some significant decisions. The sound of tussle was heard on many party platforms where differences between leaders clearly seen.
Many Party MLA’s sought ouster of Capt Amarinder Singh before the Punjab assembly elections 2022, so there are speculations that this meeting could result in the nomination of new congress leadership. There are reports that asserts that Congress high command has sought resignation from Capt Amarinder Singh, ordered enactment of Hindu leader as Party MLA’s chief. This leader could be Navjot singh sidhu or Sunil Jakhar.
Congress senior leader tweeted that, “The AICC has received a representation from a large number of MLAs from the congress party, requesting to immediately convene a meeting of the Congress Legislative Party of Punjab. Accordingly, a meeting of the CLP has been convened at 5:00 PM on 18th September at …..1/2”.
