Punjab (The Stellar News) Saksham Kalia: After a prolonged wait and confusions over the next CM face of Punjab as Capt Amarinder Singh resigned from his post. Congress high command made a lot of arrangements so that no one will get annoyed by the decision. But finally, on Monday morning Charanjot singh channi sworn as the first Sikh-Dalit CM of Punjab.
In the coronation ceremony of CM Charanjit Singh Channi, Many senior leaders of Congress were also present there including Punjab Congress president Navjot singh sidhu, congress senior leader Rahul Gandhi. While in another smart move, Om Prakash Soni and Sukhjinder singh Randhawa are appointed as Punjab Deputy CM’s.
The decision of changing the CM, was because of the differences between many Congress MLA’s and Capt amarinder singh. While another reason that party leaders quoted was that Capt Amarinder Singh was not allowing them to work for society. Now, the state people are waiting for Charanjit Singh Channi, that how he will perform in next three months before the implementation of Code of conduct amid elections next year.
