NHPC Kargil Organised Free Mega Medical Camp at Kargil under AKAM Cleberated National Energy Conservation Week

Kargil (The Stellar news): In Ladakh, Chutak Power Station, NHPC, Minji Kargil in collaboration with District Hospital, Kargil organized a Free Mega Medical Camps for project affected people, nearby villagers, contract workers and others at Project Dispensary, Chutak Power Station. The event was organised to celebrate the “National Energy Conservation Week” under “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”.

It was inaugurated by Lhendup Lepcha, General Manager (Electrical) and others present include Dr. Asgar Ali, Medical Officer, PHC, Choskore, Dr. Triloki Nath Das, Sr Dy. Chief Medical Officer, NHPC, local residents and other officials of NHPC. Lhendup Lepcha said that the project is organizing free medical camps for benefit of local residents and development of the society and will continue to organize such camps in future also. He said that this year due to Covid Protocols they have to restrict the Camp, as they have planned to organize he camp at village level.

He also thanked the local co-organizers and the public to be present in this program and making the medical camp a grand success. In this program, along with free medical consultation, free medicines were also distributed to the people of the project affected areas and nearby villages. Free tests of blood sugar, blood pressure, etc. were also conducted during this camp. The local residents expressed their gratitude to the project management and said that such medical camps should be organized from time-to-time so that the local residents could get the benefit of it.
