Punjab (The Stellar News) Saksham Kalia: Just days ahead the Punjab Assembly elections, Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi said ‘don’t let UP, Bihar baiya enter Punjab’. The remark he said, “Tagde hojo, UP, Bihar, Delhi de bhaiye jehre the raj krna chahunde a, Varan nhi dene”.
While he made this remark Priyanka Gandhi could be seen smiling and applauding.
Now the issue has limelight as every political party raised it in public forums. BJP has now hit back, saying the chief minister has insulted people of Bihar and UP. BJP said Priyanka Gandhi insulted the people of UP where the congress is fighting the polls.
AAP Chief Arvind kejriwal also slammed the remark of Congress chief Ministerial candidate for Punjab and said, “It is very shameful, We strongly condemn comments aimed at any individual or any particular community. Priyanka Gandhi also belongs to UP, so she is also a bhaiya.”
