J&K/DODA (The Stellar News)Anil Bhardwaj: Continuing its efforts to spread general awareness about cyber crime and cyber frauds like online cheating, deceit and other tactics used by fraudsters etc, today on 1st of June, 2022, Cyber crime awareness programme was organized by Doda Police at Paramout Higher Secondary School Doda.
The programme was organized under the supervision of SSP Doda, Sh. Abdul Qayoom. Dy.SP Hqrs Doda, Sh. Jaswant Singh along with PSI Subash Singh In-charge Police Post DH Doda were resource persons on this occasion. The event was attended by nearly 450 students who were made aware about different tactics used by the fraudsters to swindle the people online and how to prevent themselves, was explained to them by resource persons. The participants were also made aware about un-lawful acts and various precautions to be taken by the users like usage of WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, email, gmail etc. to avoid misuse of social media. The participants were also informed by the resource persons that there are number of provisions to deal with cyber crime but the awareness is utmost important to ensure safety and security of users.
