1298 MUTATION CASES CLEARED ON SPOT DURING SPECIAL CAMPS

JALANDHAR (The Stellar News): Receiving a very good response of people to the Special Camps held in district to clear the pendency of mutations, as many as 1298 mutations were approved on the spot across the district.

Deputy Commissioner Jaspreet Singh, who directed the revenue officials to hold these special camps for facilitation of people, said of total 1353 mutations only 55 were left due to some shortcomings. He said the process of these mutations would also be completed within a few days so that these could be cleared as soon as possible. The Deputy Commissioner personally monitored these camps and visited the Jalandhar Tehsils, where maximi mutations were cleared.

As per details, Tehsildar Jalandhar-1 cleared 139 cases, Naib Tehsildar Jalandhar-1 approved 406 of total 431 during camp. Similarly, in Jalandhar-2 Tehsil, the tehsildar cleared backlog of 75 and Naib Tehsildar approved 217 mutations. Likewise, 17 cases were cleared by Naib Tehsildar Adampur, 35 by Naib Tehsildar Bhogpur, 20 by Naib Tehsildar Kartarpur, 40 by Tehsildar Nakodar and nine cases by the Nakodar Naib Tehsildsar.

In Mehatpur 31 cases approved by the Naib Tehsildar, 35 by Tehsildar Phillaur with pendency of seven and two cases respectively on both places, which would also be done in days to come. The Naib Tehsidar Phillaur gave nod to 46 cases, 79 mutations were cleared by the Naib Tehsildar Nurmahal, seven by the Naib Tehsildar Goraya, 77 by Naib Tehsiar Lohian, five by Naib Tehsildar Shahkot and 60 mutations were issued by the Tehsildar Shahkot.

Deputy Commissioner stated that directions had already been issued to clear the remaining cases within minimal time. The revenue officials were also instructed to ensure prompt resolution of such cases besides providing other services at different Tehsils and Sub Tehsils offices without any unnecessary delay. He said the fixed timeline for issuing mutations should be followed in letter and spirit so the people could not face any problem in getting the same.

Meanwhile, the Nakodar MLA Inderjit Kaur Mann also visited a camp site, where she also reviewed the process and appreciated the step of District Administration to facilitate people.
