J&K/Doda (The Stellar News): Continuing its drive to make the society drug free, Doda Police has booked a habitual drug addict and lodged him in District Jail Bhaderwah under preventive custody.
Giving details, Police said that a number of complaints were being received at Police Station Bhaderwah against one Amir Hussain son of Khurshid Ahmed resident of Bhalla tehsil Bhalla for his involvement in drug addict and also alluring the young generation to consume as well as supply drugs besides getting other youth involved in drug addiction. Acting upon this alarming information, Police swung into action and a detailed report regarding his involvement in drugs as well as involving other youth was prepared by Police and a Police party led by Inspector, Jatinder Singh, SHO PS Bhaderwah apprehended and produced him before the Executive Magistrate Class 1st Bhaderwah where from he was sent to District Jail Bhaderwah under preventive detention.
Doda Police is appealing the general public to extend co-operation to Police and provide inputs/information if any clue of drugs addict is noticed so that stringent action is taken against such persons and menace of drug is eradicated from the society.
