J&K/Jammu (The Stellar News), Report-Anil Bhardwaj: Continuing its war against drugs abuse, Udhampur Police arrested drug peddler and recovered 6.04 grams of contraband heroin like substance from his possession in Tikri.
Police spokesman told in a statement, A Police party of PS Rehambal led by Insp. Pushpinder Singh SHO PS Rehambal and assisted by PSI Satish Katil ICPP Tikri under the supervision of Addl. SP Udhampur Sh. Anwaar Ul Haq and DySP Hqrs. Udhampur S. Gurmeet Singh while performing routine naka checking at Tiki naka point for checking of vehicle.
During checking of vehicles and pedestrian, A vehicle (Ford Fusion) bearing registration number JK01J 5464 was asked to stop but driver tried to fled away from spot however police party hold them tactfully for thorough search.
On frisking of driver namely Amir Sheikh S/O Mohd. Yousuf Sheikh R/O Pulwama. Police recovered 06.04 grams of contraband heroin like substance and arrested the said accussed person on spot.
