A second year student of LLB was thrashed to death by group of men with hockey stick, broken pipe and bricks in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. The student was identified as Dileep (26).
According to the information, Dileep and his two friends went to a restaurant in Karnalganj. After dinner, three people came towards them and verbal abuse was started between Dileep and those people. After sometime, they stated hitting Dileep with chairs. Dileep’s friends were escaped from there and those unidentified people captured Dileep and stated beating them with hockey stick, broken pipe and bricks. The whole incident was captured in CCTV footage. He was taken to the hospital on motorbike, where he died on Sunday morning.
After checking the CCTV footage, police found that Munna Chauhan, restaurant waiter hit Dileep on his head with iron rod. According to footage, the main accused has been identified as Vijay Shankar Singh, an employee of Indian Railways.
Police is continuously checking the CCTV footage in order to identify the rest.
