Snatchers are again active in Chandigarh. Three snatching incidents found in Chandigarh including Manimajra and Sector 34.
As per reports, snatchers grabbed a gold chain from Sunita, a resident of Zirakpur. She arrived at Manimajra on Wednesday to attend a marriage function. When she was standing outside the venue around 8:30 pm, snatcher came and within seconds snatched her gold chain and flew away with his associate on bike.
Immediately police got the information, they were set a check-post, but snatchers escaped.
Similar incident found in Sector 34, where snatchers grabbed i-Phone of a woman. Woman named Shalu complained that when she was standing near Picaddily Mall, a man came and snatched i-Phone from her hand and escaped from the spot.
Similarly, Diapankar Guha, a resident of sector 41 alleged that when he was on Sector 35 and 36 diving road, a white car overtook his scooter around 1:30 am on Thursday, two men stepped out and asked him to sit in the car. He escaped from the spot, when he returned back with police, his scooter and bag was missing.
