Three youths of Himachal have been kidnapped in Nigeria. The three youths belong to the Kangra district serving in Merchant Navy. It is being told that their ship has been hijacked in Nigeria and they have been kidnapped for ransom.
The victims are identified as Sushil, Ajay Kumar and Pankaj Kumar. Sushil posted in Merchant Navy has been working with different companies for the last 13 years. It is being told that their ship has been hijacked in Nigeria. Two other Himachali youths Ajay and Pankaj were are with him and they are kept in the jungle.
However, on 31 January 2018, Sushil Kumar spoke to his family after that there was no any contact from his side. On March 7, a satellite call was received at his house, in which Sushil told his followers about the incident. After which the call was disconnected. After 3 days of this call, Sushil’s call came again at the house, in which he mentioned the ransom of 11 million Naira sought by the robbers.
The family members of sushil talked about the owner of the company in which Sushil is working, then he said that he is in touch with the pirates and will give him money.
Sushil’s family has demanded from the government that Sushil and his colleagues should be brought back safely to India. For this, Sushil’s brother Amit Dhiman has also tweeted to Sushma Swaraj, but till date the family has not received any help from the government.
