Vigilance Bureau nabbed a Punjab Police assistant sub-inspector (ASI) while he was allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 35,000 on Friday.

As per reports, Malkit Singh, a resident of Ahmed Dhandi village had submitted a complaint that ASI Gurmail Singh, who was posted as Investigation Officer (IO) in Women Cell Ferozepur, was allegedly demanding Rs 1 lakh to settle the matrimonial dispute of his brother Jagdish Singh.
Malkit said that the ASI was threatening him that he would lodge a case against his brother in the domestic dispute following which he contacted the Vigilance Bureau.
Trap was laid by VB and nabbed the ASI red-handed.
