Public holiday on 17, 19 and 21 January on account of general election

Himachal (The Stellar News): A spokesperson of the State Government informed here today that 17th January, 19th January and 21st January, 2021 has been declared as public holiday in Himachal Pradesh on account of general election to Panchayati Raj Institutions in the areas of those Panchayati Raj Institutions where the elections are scheduled to be held on the respective dates in case poll is held. He said that all government offices, boards, corporations, educational institutions and industrial establishments situated in the Himachal Pradesh under Industrial Disputes Act and shops will remain closed on the said date in the areas of above institutions. This will also be a paid holiday to daily wages employees.

A special casual leave may be given to those employees who are working in different places in the State but have a right to vote in Panchayati Raj Institutions on the productions of certificate from the concerned Presiding Officer that the employee has actually casted his/her vote.
