J&K/SRINAGAR (The Stellar News)Anil Bhardwaj: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad today visited SMHS Hospital to inspect the ongoing civil works being carried out for installation of two new oxygen plants in the hospital. He also took stock of the patient care facilities being provided to Covid-19 positive patients. While inspecting the pace of ongoing works for the plants, the Deputy Commissioner was informed that Civil works are almost done for installation of new machinery for oxygen plants. The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned to speed up the pace of work for early commissioning of the new oxygen plants to further strengthen the oxygen support system at SMHS hospital. During the visit the Deputy Commissioner interacted with the senior Doctors in the hospital and enquired about the patient care facilities being provided to the patients. On the occasion, the concerned doctors brought into the notice of the Deputy Commissioner that patients on low oxygen support needs to be shifted to Covid Care Wellness centre at Haj House Bemina so that high flow oxygen support is made available for the other needy patients. Meanwhile The Deputy Commissioner directed that entry to bulk cylinder oxygen store should be restricted to only labourers provide by DDMA Srinagar to carry oxygen cylinders for patients and no attendant should be allowed to enter oxygen store. Chief Medical Officer, Srinagar, Medical Superintendent SMHS hospital and other concerned officers accompanied the DC during his visit.
