PUNJAB GOVT EXTENDS COVID-19 CURBS TILL 15TH JUNE, GAVE SOME RELAXATIONS FROM TOMORROW

Punjab (The Stellar News) Saksham Kalia: Punjab CM announced the extension of covid-19 curbs in state till 15th June, adopting a positive approach by giving some relaxations including private offices with 50% staff and allowed shops opening till 6:00pm.

CM announced that, “the night curfew will remain in force from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM in weekdays including Saturdays and regular weekend curfew will be in implementation on Sundays”.  

As the case positivity rate is declining to 3.2% and the number of positivity cases is also decreasing, so CM allowed 20 members in the public gatherings like weddings, cremation ceremony, Religious functions etc. Protocol of entry in state with negative RT-PCR test report has been revoked by CM Punjab.

Recruitment exams will be allowed to organize with the appropriate health norms. These relaxations are indicating to the path towards normal life but the major concern is the third wave indicated by many scientists.

Another concern for the Government is the reopening of schools and colleges. As after 26th June the school holidays is coming to its end and schools are demanding reopening of schools. As from more than a year students are away from their schools and are battling with unprecedented problems.

Not just school students, college students are also concerned about the practical work which they can do only in colleges and universities.Previously, CM Punjab had cleared that the health of people is utmost important for the Government and for economic growth they cannot compromise with people lives.
